During a camping trip in Spain in August 2025, Filou slipped out of the family's van at a rest stop. Despite searches and police reports, he vanished. Five months later, the cat appeared about 250 km (155 miles) away near his owners' French village — thin but alive. A teacher who had been feeding him took him to a vet, where a microchip revealed his true home. Reunited January 2026.
